Meet Namhla, the driving force behind Elimu Hub as its Managing Director. With a deep-rooted passion for social development and a strong advocate for advancing opportunities for women and youth, Namhla founded Elimu Hub to serve as a catalyst for impactful connections and innovative solutions.
With over 15 years of diverse experience spanning project management, program design, strategy development, and human resources across corporate, international development, finance, and NGO sectors in Sub-Saharan Africa, Namhla brings a wealth of expertise to her role.
Namhla’s journey is marked by her commitment to bridging gaps and fostering meaningful collaboration. In 2015, she initiated the first “Meeting of Great Minds,” a platform aimed at connecting initiatives driving social development in the Eastern Cape. This initiative evolved into Elimu Hub’s impactful Winter School and Job Seeker workshops in partnership with local community-based organizations.
Recognized as a pan-African champion for development, Namhla’s contributions have been acknowledged by the African Leadership Institute (AFLI) and through her involvement in initiatives like Project Pakati and the #GirlsCountCampaign, where she was a finalist in the ONE.org Youth Voices competition.
Namhla is also a WEConnect Self-Certified Member and an alumna of the P&G and WEConnect Women-Owned Business Development Programme. Her proudest moment includes being named among the Top Ten in the Londvolota High Growth Women’s Programme, powered by Standard Bank and GE, for her edu-focused projects at Elimu Hub. A 2023 alumni on the Executive Social Impact Strategy Programme at the University of Pennsylvania’s Centre for Social Impact Strategy, Namhla’s commitment to self-development and growing her impact network is key to the success of her engagements.
